Project Vision & Execution

For this Mercer Island residence, the homeowners wanted an indoor play environment that was safe, engaging, and beautifully integrated with the rest of the home. Instead of a simple play area, they envisioned a purpose-built room where their children could climb, explore, and be active year-round.

Working alongside grOH Playrooms, a leader in play-based interior design, we transformed an unused room into a fully customized activity space. The layout blends movement, creativity, and durability—supported by structural planning and precise installation.

The room features a securely mounted climbing wall, a rope net, and a suspended ladder, each anchored to meet safety and load-bearing requirements. We installed durable engineered wood flooring and cushioned landing surfaces to balance aesthetics with everyday use.

Every component—from material selection to finish work—was chosen to complement the home’s existing interior and hold up to long-term family use. The finished space is bright, functional, and play-focused—built with the same level of craftsmanship we apply to our premium kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home remodeling projects.

Structural & Safety-Focused Build

We reinforced walls, anchor points, and ceiling structures to safely support the climbing elements, rope net, and suspended ladder. All load-bearing decisions were based on proper framing, hardware selection, and long-term durability.

Custom Interior Construction

The room was rebuilt with tailored features including a climbing wall system, integrated activity zones, and premium flooring designed for impact resistance. Every component was measured, fabricated, and installed to fit the layout of the home.

Finish Work & Integration

Flooring, wall finishes, landing surfaces, and trim were completed to align with the home’s interior style. We blended playful elements with clean, modern craftsmanship so the new space feels intentional and cohesive.
